No More Bombs meeting on May 3rd 2024

We enjoyed our discussion with an ex-Airforce Missileer. We all agreed that the abolishment of Nuclear weapons is the best solution. But if we can't do that, what do we do?

To the right you can see slides he provided with Pros and Cons for each leg of the Triad: IBCM's, Bombers and Submarines.  People say that land-based ICBM locations are known by the enemy so they would be wiped out in the first strike so why pay for them? Turns out only a direct hit can destroy one and they are relatively cheap so there are many.

We've been against spending money on updating missiles that can already wipe out civilization. He explained that updating allows new safety features and better control. Maybe, as long as we destroy the old ones!

The United States needs to lead the way in reducing the number of weapons and stop setting the example of weapon build-up that is being followed by other nations - making the whole world more dangerous.
